H. L. College of Commerce, a renowned college of Ahmedabad recently organized a fun fair, an annual event they host to celebrate completion of yet another academic session. This year they decided to invite the children from VSSM’s Vatsalya hostel to be part of the fun filled activities that included games, music and food. Our children had a gala time at the fete  - they danced, played games and won prizes and relished the food at various stalls.  

One of the objectives of having hostels in urban areas is to make the children of  the nomadic communities part of the main stream society, create opportunities for the urban and the nomadic communities to get to know and mingle with  each other. Events like these become a perfect platform to attain these goals. We were delighted with the fact that the youth of today cared and took such initiative to invite these children. We are thankful to the organizers and the students of the funfair for inviting us over and making the children feel comfortable at the same time….

એચ એલ કોલેજમાં આનંદ મેળો હતો.. VSSM ધ્વારા સંચાલિત ‘વાત્સ્યલ્ય’ છાત્રાલયનાં બાળકોને આમંત્રણ મળ્યું...બાળકો આનંદ મેળામાં ગયા ... એચ એલ કોલેજના યુવાન વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સાથે ખુબ આનંદ કર્યો સૌએ.. રમતો રમી, નાચ્યા કુદ્યા અને ઇનામો પણ મેળવ્યા.. વિચરતી જાતિનાં આ સૌ બાળકો સમાજમાં હળી-મળી જાય એ ધ્યેય સાથે જ અમે છાત્રાલય શરુ કરી હતી.. અને આજે અમદાવાદનાં યુવાનો સાથે અમારા બાળકોને ભળતા જોઈને અમારા સૌના મનમાં આનંદનો મેળો ભરાઈ ગયો... બસ એ જ આનંદને ફોટામાં ઝીલ્યું છે. એચ એલ કોલેજના વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ જે આયોજન કર્યું અને અમને બોલાવ્યા એ માટે તે સૌનો આભાર.
